A wonderful weekend on a dog show trip in Stockholm, Sweden. The show was a combined special show for Australian Kelpies and Australian Cattle Dogs. Total 59 kelpies where entered. The arrangements were excellent and the venue is one of the finest I have ever been. Thank you Swedish Kelpie Club for a well-organized show and plenty of prizes!
This year, the main purpose of the trip was to go to meet friends, as well as return the special show Challenge Cup. We only entered two young champion class dogs to the show. The judge of the exhibition was the experienced Maritha Östlund-Holmsten, from Sweden. The work of the judge was exemplary: thorough, accurate and friendly. In addition to the normal written critics, the judge verbally explained in details decisions she made.

Zero in the ring.
Our young, rather inexperienced male Didaktic’s Playboy (ZERO) competed in the fourth show of his life. He got his FI CH title directly from three shows in Finland, so there has been little time to gain experience. Superbly Johanna and Zero did the job EXC2 CQ and unofficial fifth place in Best Male competition.

Myy in the ring.
Despite of her young age, our champion bitch Didaktic’s OMG (MYY) has already won a lot. Last year’s BOS placement was improved, as MYY was chosen as the Best of Breed and at the end of the day as the Best In Show. Marika has done a lot of work to train MYY and having her in great muscle condition, a beautifully moving and performing dog is a pleasure to watch! In addition to great results, the best thing of the day was to get to know some young and promising dogs. Maybe I even found some males there for my future breeding plans.
